I want to visit! What can I expect?
Jane's Journey Home for Dogs sanctuary is a relaxing and welcoming place for all. Visitors are asked to email or call ahead to schedule a visit. The sanctuary is open 10:00am-3:00pm daily for scheduled visits. Visitors can expect a brief 10-15 minute tour of the sanctuary and meet and greet with the elderly dogs that call Jane's home. Afterwards you can spend time walking the trails and enjoying the beautiful scenery that the 36 acre property has to offer in the Baraboo Bluffs. All visitors are required to sign a liability waiver during their first visit. Those arriving without an appointment will be accommodated to the best extent possible during our normal open hours, but the unanticipated visit may interfere with daily planned operations and you may find the sanctuary closed upon your arrival. We want every visitor to have a great experience, so please plan ahead to schedule your visit.
What if I want to stay longer or volunteer for the day?
Visitors wishing to spend a few hours interacting with the dogs at the sanctuary or volunteering either on their own or in a large group should contact the sanctuary to schedule a private tour and volunteer day prior to visiting. We LOVE that you want to give a little extra time to our elderly canines and this will allow us the best opportunity to accommodate you and your valuable time.
What if I want to visit regularly?
Well, who doesn't want to spend time regularly cuddling with senior dogs on the couch? Here's where we encourage you to become a JJH Volunteer! Volunteers help with a variety of tasks at the sanctuary but the most important is providing companionship and enrichment to the dogs that call JJH home.
